George Crompton

Hi All,
I have George Henry Wynne Blanchard Crompton born 17/04/1904 London.
His birth is down as Paddington, London.
He married in 1925, Paddington, London.

He ran a Sewing machine sales and repair shop, somewhere in Paddington up until the late 1960's or very early 70's. I'm not sure if it was a family business.

I'm not sure if the name Blanchard was a given name. But his Granddaughter has it on her tree.
Fathers name is Arthur according to the same source.

Without actually getting the birth cert, is there any chance that someone has access to 1911 census for any other info.

I have just recieved George Cromptons birth cert.

Born - 17/04/1904. Registered at St.Mary, Paddington.
Arthur Crompton - father. Occupation - Oculist (Optician ?)
Rosina Julia Crompton (formely Giggens).

Living at - 29, Delamere Terrace. (Which now appears to be new flats/apartments)

It does say on George Henry Wynne Crompton's birth and marriage certs that fathers occ. is Oculist.

Yeah Gibbo, he is a bit of an odd-ball, the scientific palmist as another profession seems a bit odd.
