Obituary.-The death of the late Mr. George Clyde Gatfield took place in the Nanango Hospital recently. The late Mr. Gatfield was born at Grand Rlapids;Michigan (U.S.A.), in the year 1883, and with his mother and sisteirs, he came to Australia from Wales in 1910. Since then, he has resided in the districts of Benarkln and Blackbutt. He is survived by his widow, four deaughters, four sons, and four grandchildren.

That's another family in my tree from Wales who spent some time in Michigan. All to do with steel making and related things such as foundries.

Mining for iron and copper in that state but I don't think they went over there to be miners.

Marion is probably from Scotland.

I got the impression from the above and the passenger list that the father didnt turn up here. I havent checked for a death for him as yet.

Mother and sisters so that should be George plus at least three others in 1910 but there seems to be only George and 2 others.

Mother is Eva so Clara must be one of the sisters.
