While researching Dodds I found a George Kelly married my Margaret Dods at Kelso, Roxburghshire, Scotland in 1849. Think she died in 1852 Legerwood but it is her married name in records which is unusual in Scotland. Lose George after that but he turns up in 1863 Yetholm, Roxburghshire marrying another Margaret Dodds
at Town Yetholm. He was a blacksmith in 1851 with first wife. When he marries his second wife he says he is proprietor of gold mines in Australia. When he dies he is blacksmith again, this 1887 (Town Yetholm) I did find a death notice on Trove for him in Ballaret Star saying he died in Scotland. Will there be anything else, wondering if there is family in Australia although he would have to have married a second time there for there to be? And intrigued by the gold mines and that he came back to Scotland. George Kelly's parents were James Kelly and Sarah Hall and he was born 1822 Yetholm
