My 3xgreat uncle was George Snell born 16 May 1850 in Marsh Baldon, Oxfordshire. Older brother of Thirza Snell later Edgington, my 2xgreat granny.

He wed Harriet Beckley in Henley in Oxon in 1872 and joined the railways in 1874. The railway records on Anc list his DOB and join date.

He then lived in Warwickshire and Holyhead before settling in Liverpool. He became a railway policeman and lived at various addresses in the West Derby and Wavertree area of the city. He wed in 1890 again and was of Morrgate St, Liverpool.

Good to find an ancestor sibling living in Liverpool. A, a,a, calm down. :2fun:

He died on 23rd June 1914 in Hull but was of Pilot Grove, Liverpool. Info from the probate indexes on Ancestree. It may be he was visiting his daughter there. She moved to Hull in about 1896.
