Hello,

This won't be an easy one.

Qld. Death 2 Dec 1894/C02764 Taylor George - - ** born England aged 50 years

Qld. Marriage 22 Apr 1874/C0167 Taylor George - Pierce Jane

I can't find an arrival for a George to Qld. that fits.

I've found two trees but neither have a birth, death or parents for George.

I hope these names of children born in Qld. hold a clue:

Sampson Richard
Thomas Oswin
Albert Morrison

The Queensland BMD returned me to this topic.

I now have the death reg for daughter Martha Gertrude TAYLOR and her spouse George BLACKLEY - one of my direct lines.

I still hope we can find something on George even though it's a very common name.

There is a possibility for arrival but age is 4 y out... per Wansfell 1863 (age 15y) also listed for Wansfell 1866 same age, but I can't see him on the lists...

Thanks Geoff. Don't know how accurate that '50' is.

Was hoping the not so common names would help if found together in a census.

I've done the usual checks in FS for marriages and baptisms. One thing I've not done is check the middle name IGI site.

In that case there are 2 others that are 5/6 y out, one b. 1837 and 1839...
Per 'Melmerby' 1865 aged 26 and Prince Consort 1862 aged 25.
