I thought if he lived in the brisbane area and buried in Toowong cemtery there might be a hospital record somewhere but no luck.. 1915 is out of the years available.

I think it's the G T in Nerang area who possibly ended up in hospital in Brisbane.

Weird problems at the library - some computers have access to A... and others do not. Seems to be an IP issue but they are all on the same LAN.

The council will probably be able to say the others in the grave are or are not connected in any way.

I can find nothing that suggests the Nerang one was married. Also lots of hits in Trove if you search "g t goodwin"~0

The ~0 is supposed not to split the parts.

'Polite Reminder' that I have this posted elsewhere.

Got the death cert now. He died in Brisbane Hospital and never married. The hospital superintendent was the informant

Wouldn't mind access to those hospital records, last known address would be useful, but DC doesn't give his residency

Is there a particular reason for those gaps?

Thanks

Hi Geoff, i'm just doing some catching up. I think they hold the records for the years from for example 1872 to 1887 then a gap 1899 to 1913.
I dont know why the gap from 1877 to 1899 etc.

Geoff i have found the QLD archives quiet good to work with, tho i havent had a need to contact of recent times.
Maybe send them a email and ask nicely what info is on the hospital records. Sometimes if your email lands on the desk of someone nice they give you a little taste of what is in them records. Could be worth a try and no harm done if they dont or wont give anything up to you :2fun::2fun:

Thanks, Gibbo..

I've still got an outstanding email to BCC re the burial, I wont push it, I'll wait until that is replied to.

Overall, this time around have got a good bit of new info from various sources [thanks again], including an arrival and a number of E/R's 1870-1890.

He never married and I have the basics now, will put it to bed after this.
