I am seeking contact with anyone researching GRANT

My ancestors on the Scottish side begins with GEORGE GRANT from Edinburgh
I know very little about them really and would love to make contact with anyone else who may be researching this family.

I have started with George Grant b. abt 1791 & his wife Catherine Ross b. abt 1796.

They were living at North Melville Place, Edinburgh
According to the 1841 census their children with them at that time were
John Peter and George Henry ages 20 and 13, did they have other children previous to then?

According to the 1851 census they were lodging house keepers
the children were not with them then.
John Peter had married Euphemia Nelson, I have found no further information yet about George Henry, did he marry and have children?
also, were there other children previous to the 1851 census?

I would love to know more about them and any of their descendants, the only one I have any information about is John Peter and Euphemia, their son
George Nelson Grant was my gt grandfather, I have a fair bit of information about him, but would love to know more, and also more about his wife Euphemia Nelson, who after her husband died went on to marry James Martin
to whom she had a son Robert, I only know that he married Helen MacKenzie
and there the trail ends about him and his wife, I would love to know more, did he have any descendants.

According to the lack of correct information on Euphemia`s death cert given by Robert Martin, it is obvious that he knew very little about his half brother George Nelson Grant, and may not have had any contact with him (George Nelson Grant by then was married and living in Derby England)
much of the information on the death cert for Euphemia was incorrect, so she may not have told him very much about her first husband and children.

There are quite a number of mysteries surrounding both maternal & paternal sides of my family I would love to solve, so I am hoping to find any descendants who may know some of the answers.

Hi Maudie,

I dont know if this is anything to do with your Grants, but on the 1901 census there is a George Grant age 1 born Edinburgh, but living in Elswick either in Northumberland or Lancashire. As I havnt any vouchers I couldnt see who the family were. I tried Ancestry but the name George Grant with details given kept coming up returned no matches. Will try again.
