Mary Jane Spittlehouse (formerly Cordall) is missing from the above two census in the 1901 she was a Cordall and not living with her family as 10 years previous and in 1911 she is a Spittlehouse and not in the same house as her husband (whom she married in 1906) and his family neither is she living with her own family the Cordalls and her daughter of five years (Madge Spittlehouse).

What are the reasons somebody would be missing from a census?
*With the 1911 census I know it was not death, as she went on to have my grandmother (1921) and her sister (1924) with another man and died in 1926.

*Perhaps she had to go out to work nights (although as a woman that not have not been typical of the time).

*Maybe the head of the house did not want her on it for some reason?

Any other ideas would be gratefully received.
