Greenlees

Hi all, can anyone help me with the GREENLEES family. JOHN GREENLEES my G/Grandfather was born c1852 Glasgow area, at the time of his marriage to JANE LAMBERTON in 1874, he was a Baker in the Glasgow area.
Last sighted on the 1881 Census. Jane's death cert. in 1928 says "widow".
Where do I look for him after 1881 - any clues welcome. Dawn

Jane N.L. Greenless head bakers wife age 36
John Greenlees age 13
Nellie Greenlees age 16
Thomas Greenlees age 11
William Greenlees age 2
Wilson Greenlees age 5

1901 census civil parish Govan, reg dist Govan, address 55 Greenfield Street

Agnes Greenlees age 4
Jane Greenlees wife age 45
Jane Greenlees age 18
Robert Greenlees age 8
Thomas Greenlees age 21
William Greenlees age 12
Wilson Greenlees age 15
Ellen Wright dau age 25

No sign of John even though Jane is head of household in 1891 and classed as wife in 1901.
