Trees have Martha Ward nee Parker’s death as 30 April 1845 Elderslie NSW (b 1781 Edwinstowe Nottinghamshire) – she married William Ward 1813 Parish – Kirton.

Tree has photo of her headstone but I can’t make out writing.. Cawdor Cemetery NSW

Hubby William Ward b 1778 Nottinghamshire died 1839 Edwinstowe Nottingham

If it was a Wesleyan burial then it would be Volume 109 and no such entry in the index for 1845.

Attachments will upload the photo after the post is submitted but resolution is lost as the site reduces the size (KB) of the image.

Just ran the deaths for all Martha for 1845 and nothing that fits for age.

Looks like I'll have to scan Vol 109 on film at the library.

Can't see a baptism on FS or Free REG that fits for Martha Parker.

No death reg in RD that covers Edwinstowe in 1839 for a William Ward.

The Mariners site does not have 1842 arrivals. Starts Jan 1845.

Several Martha Parker in Notts but no baptism that fits.

Can't see anything in Trove in 1845 for Martha.

A headstone and nothing else.

Burial V1849785 34B/1849 WHITEMAN MARY AGE 51

Page 4
Burials in the Parish of St. John Camden in the County of Camden in the Year 1849
No. 5 Mary Whiteman Abode: Camden Estate When Died: November 18th 1849 When Buried: November 20th Age: 51 years Ship's Name: - Quality or Profession: Wife of Thomas Whiteman, Farmer By whom the Ceremony was performed: Edward Rogers

Can't find a notice in Trove

Whiteman (Butchers) Mary 3 Jul 1788? 18 Nov 1849 61 ? [51] b. Udimore, Sussex, England; w/Thomas Camden Anglican Church NSW
http://austcemindex.com/inscription?id=15496949#images

Don't know where the 61 came from.

Seems Thomas and Mary and daughter Eliza were all baptised CofE. Mary buried CofE and Thomas and Eliza buried Wesleyan. Thomas and Mary in different cemeteries.

Brede parish register baptisms
1798, 29 July, Mary Butcher, daughter of James and Mary (born 3 July)

Mary aged 42 in 1839 on shipping record so 61 is wrong.

Ok, thanks Geoff.

It's Roots not Roach. Shipping record is wrong there.

Sivyer is correct.

So Elizabeth or Mary ??

I have a copy of this one

WARD MARTHA 177/1859 AGE 75 YEARS DIED SYDNEY SYDNEY

Parish of Camperdown Feb 6 Feb 8 Pauper

I scanned Volume 109 on film for a 1845 burial for Martha Ward and didn't find one.
