Hello,

Marriages Jun 1863
HALLOWDILL Henry Bristol 6a 98
WOODINGTON Deborah Bristol 6a 98

I'd like a look up please for the family in 1871.

Henry died before 4 Jan 1874. I don't know of any children.

An alternate spelling in 2nd marriage:

Marriages Mar 1874
Hayverill Deborah Keynsham 5c 1027
Peacock Daniel Keynsham 5c 1027

Best of luck. :)

Regards,

Dave

Hello Josie,

Thank you very much. You can be lucky sometimes.

Bet it would have been a bit more difficult if her brother had not been there. :D

Now to find Henry's death.

On FreeBMD, there is a death registration of Henry William Hartnell, in Bristol, in the September quarter of 1863, (vol 6a page 17).

I don’t know whether he is yours or not!

Sorry Josie
I was so chuffed I'd found the records I didnt check if there had been any posts since I started looking. You had been busy as usual and already found the info for daveh and if I'd read the initial post more thoroughly I'd have seen the marriage DOGH...

Hi Dave,

No worries! I did exactly the same thing yesterday in post #10 of Pettra’s thread! I thought I’d checked to make sure the info hadn’t already been posted. It was only when I reread the whole thread a few hours later that I realised you had already posted the same info about an hour earlier!

As you say... doooohhhh!

Hello Dave, on FS there is a record of a marriage in Bristol, Gloucester on 18 Nov 1820.

Samuel Woodington married Mary Flay.

Source film number:1596644

Edit: There are two Samuel Woodington deaths recorded on FreeBMD, one in Clifton in Q2 1854 and the other in Keynsham in Q1 1863. (There is also one in Q3 1843 in Keynsham, so more investigation needed.)

There is a death in Keynsham in Q3 1878 of Mary Woodington aged 70, but Mary's age should be nearer 80, according to the census info, so I'm not sure if this is the correct one.

.... there's another in Barton Regis (Gloucestershire) aged 82 in the last quarter of 1879. Seems more likely - but would she have moved? (Not sure of the geography of these parts!)
