George Stimson who married Elizabeth in 1883 is brother of Arthur who married Elizabeth’s sister Sarah’s daughter (ie technically her niece – but was raised as a sister by Elizabeth’s parents)

Late Arthur Stimson
The death occurred at his residence, 62 Harrow-road, Auburn, last Thursday, of Mr. Arthur Stimson, a well-known identity in both Auburn and Fairield, at the age of 76. Born in Fairfield, he was the son of William Stimson, who came to the country in the early days and pioneered grape-growing in Fairfield and Canley Vale; and also acquired orchards and property in Guildford. Mr. Stimson, who was a prominent figure in the Church of Christ, Auburn, was of a kind and generous disposition, and was admired and respect by his many friends. The death of his wife occurred in November, last year, almost on the same day as that of the deceased. Mr. Stimson is survived by three sons, Syd, Eric and Stan, and five daughters,May (Mrs. Horner, of Mascot), Olive (Mrs. Morgan), Ivy, Dulcie, and Edna. A son, Percy, predeceased him..A very large funeral left for the Methodist Cemetery, Rookwood, last Saturday, Rev. Johnston officiating. His son-in-law, Rev. S. Horner, also took part in the service.
