Hance NEWELL married Catharine JOHNSON 5 Oct 1833 in Tynemouth, Northumberland, according to Mormon records. Hance is also listed as "Hans" in two records. As the marriage predates the start of regular certificates I'd like to know if it's possible to find any record of Hance's parents? (How?)

For the record, the couple had a daughter named Isabella NEWELL who married Thomas PICKERING in 1855 (South Shields). They also probably had a (son?) named Francis B. Newell.
