I have found this intriguing story about a Methodist/Quaker Missionary named Hannah Kilham. She was apparently born in Sheffield on the 12th August 1774 to Peter and Hannah Spurr who are described as respectable tradespeople. I am wondering what their occupation was and where they lived. Information also says Hannah Kilham taught in Sheffield for a while. She apparently started as an Anglican moving to the New Connexion Methodists and then to Quakers. Her later life outside Sheffield is fairly well documented but I am looking for clues to her life in Sheffield. Anybody help me?
