Thanks gibbo. :)

Son Thomas ended up in NSW. Don't know yet if he was a convict. He married in England in 1843. I can't see his arrival in NSW on the Assisted list.

2x Thomas convicts arrived after 1843 but neither convicted in Gloucestershire or Somerset.

Oh a grandson Thomas Daniel born 1855 Tasmania.

I'm still trying to make sense of this one.

I can't find the marriage in 1843 on FS.

Marriages Jun 1843
Wilmott Thomas Keynsham 11 139
JENKINS Mary Ann Keynsham 11 139

Can they be found in 1851?

Can't find them assisted to NSW or Vic. Not on the arrivals list on Tas Archives.

Thanks Geoff.

So arrived in Australia 1851 - 1855.

Looks as though he was named Thomas Daniel.

Looks more likely Giles and young son Giles and young daughter Mary all died in 1800.

The Giles in the census therefore the son of a Thomas. I wonder if this death certificate will list his parents:

Deaths Jun 1863
Wilmot Giles Keynsham 5c 550

Hester/Ester may have died before they left but Harriet arrived:

NSW marriage 1714/1872 ALLEN BENJAMIN - WILMOT HARRIET - GRENFELL

Oh.

NSW marriage 1803/1868 LAWSON WILLIAM HENRY - WILLMOT ESTHER - YOUNG

So far I can't find a death in NSW for either.

Deaths 6x William H. and 9x Benjamin

I can't see their arrival in NSW 1851-1854.

I can't search this index:

New South Wales, Australia, Unassisted Immigrant Passenger Lists, 1826-1922

I'm off to do some gardening between showers. Raining again.

So we have a Thomas born abt 1760 and if +/- 5 years we have 4 to choose from.

I can't find any tree with a Thomas born Gloucestershire 1760 +/- 5 years.
