Joined the forum today so this is my first post.
I am researching the Hansell and Young families that are from New Kilpatrick, Dunbartonshire. Would particulary like to hear from people with definite links to either John Henry Hansell and H(E)llen Bennet Hansell or to William and Louisa Young (nee Trowell). I believe H(Ellen) and William were brother and sister. I don't yet have a date for John H and H(E)llen B's marraige. William (age 33) and Louisa (age 24) married in Kent (where Louisa was born) in 1871 whilst he was serving with the 7th Dragoon Guards.
It would help my research if someone could confirm William's wherabouts in the 1861 and 1851 censuses. I have two different later records, one states he was born in New Kilpatrick and the other in Balfron(sp), Stirlingshire.
