Hello crankypants,

Thank you very much. I've just about given up on Mary's birth and 1881 census.

The only other male PERDRIAUs are:

William John b. abt 1809 Portsea - no marriage or death found to date and

Joseph Packwood c. 5 Apr 1816 Saint Marys, Portsea, Hampshire

Entered the Blue Coat School (Christ's Hospital) founded by Edward VI in 1552 in 1824.
Captain in British Merchant Service

Marriage and death not yet found, and

George Augustus - married in India and died in India:

Presidency of Marriage BENGAL
Marriage Year 1856
Husband First Names Geo A
Husband Surname Perdrian
Wife First Names Mary
Wife Surname Munniah
Prefix N11
Source Year 1856
Volume Number 1
Folio 24

That's not the Mary J who died in 1932 aged 82.

Regards,

Dave

Hello crankypants,

Now for Harriet & John CRISP.

I've made little progress so far.

Can't see Harriet in 1881 so looking for a death before that.

Perhaps not Norfolk but age at death fits.

Deaths Dec 1880
Crisp Harriett 53 Depwade 4b 169

Regards,

Dave

Hi Dave

I just want to pack my bags and go home.:'(

I can't find Harriet CRISP. Should we be looking for a 3rd marriage.

I hope someone else can find her at least in 1871 census.

Forgot to say I can't find Harriet Perdriau/Perdrian + 100 more variants in 1851 & 1861.

cheers

Hello crankypants,

Well now. :D Thank you very much.

One son of George Augustus & Mary MUNNIAH was James Augustus. I don't have a dob for him but he married Mary Josephine MALLON / MULLON:

Presidency of Marriage BENGAL
Marriage Year 1866
Husband First Names James A.
Husband Surname Perdrian
Wife First Names Mary
Wife Surname Mullon
Prefix N1
Source Year 1866
Volume Number 118
Folio 113

James Augustus died 1912 or 1917 (Will dated 1912) no place of death given. James was an officer of the Indian Subordinate Medical Department in Lucknow.

Mary is said to have died in 1930. I was given no dob for Mary Josephine and no place of death but they had a son:

Alexander Douglas Cunynghame :D

Deaths Jun 1932
Perdrian Mary J 82 Lambeth 1d 325

I can understand probate being granted to her son but age at death has to be out by a few years or the year of the marriage 1866 is wrong. ???

Presidency of Marriage BENGAL
Marriage Year 1856
Husband First Names Geo A
Husband Surname Perdrian
Wife First Names Mary
Wife Surname Munniah
Prefix N11
Source Year 1856
Volume Number 1
Folio 24

If that date of 1856 is correct and if James was born the same year then he didn't marry in 1866. ???
If George married in 1856 then he was 42. Which marriage date is wrong or are they both wrong?

Regards,

Dave

Hello crankypants,

So did Stephen & Harriet actually have a daughter Mary J born abt 1850? They married on 27 Dec 1846 so was Robert William born Sep Q 1852 their only child?

1881 ??
Dwelling 222 Gt Colmore St
Census Place Birmingham, Warwick, England
Family History Library Film 1341711
Public Records Office Reference RG11
Piece / Folio 2974 / 36 Page Number 7
Name Relation Marital Status Gender Age Birthplace Occupation Disability
Harriet CRISP Head W Female 57 Shifnall, Shropshire, England
Alice M. CRISP Daur U Female 24 Birmingham, Warwick, England Mantle Maker

Age is 3 years out and Shifnall is not a perfect fit either but it's the only one I've found so far.

Hi Dave

I can't find a Mary J PERDRI** born c1850.

I doubt the Harriet in 1881 is yours. Her daughter Alice Mary born in 1856.
Harriet married in 1861.

No sign of John & Harriet CRISP, did they leave the country.

Hello crankypants,

I'm not sure. The two children could be from John CRISP's first marriage. I have no information at all. I didn't even know it was John CRISP until you found the correct marriage.

I don't know how I got Mary J as a daughter of Stephen & Harriet. It may have simply been working back from the age at death and finding the dob about 1850 as a fit with the 1846 marriage. Or someone may have given me the names of their two children. I have no note in the database.

Possibly Robert William was the only child.

-----

I don't think we will have much luck confirming the marriage dates in India or finding the missing birth and death dates either. I highlighted the only possibility - the 1912 Will of James Augustus- but it seems he died in India. Well, I can't find it 1912-1917 in England.

Regards,

Dave
