Woke up early this morning and couldnt go back to sleep so guess what i did?
Looked for passenger lists :biggrin:

This is the closest i could find for these ones....... and still dont know if its them or not. They didnt have a child when they arrived did they? :confused:
William Harris and wife could be any one of a thousand of them :2fun::2fun:

barque Bussorah Merchant, 650 tons, Captain Edwards, from London 1848 & Plymouth 7th July 1848, arrived at Port Adelaide, South Australia 10th November 1848

Thanks gibbo. ;) Don't think I snore that loudly. :2fun: Actually, I don't.

I didn't have the burial records.

The 'Bound for SA' CD lists that one on 'Bussorah Merchant' with spouse Jane so that's why I ruled that one out. Perhaps we had better see if more births in SA can be found for William & Jane. And a search for a death for Jane. If neither can be found then possible 'Jane' is an error.

Even if they married 1 Jan 1848... I'd say they arrived without a child.

There are several trees. None list the arrival. Only one lists all 12 children I have. Several only list one of the children because that's the line they are following.

I checked the actual passenger ship Blonde just incase they were on it but not in the indexes but they werent :rolleyes: You had probably already did that anyway :2fun::2fun:

Yes, I did that because I expected them to be on that vessel.

We need some SA and Vic. look ups.

HARRIS William arrived in SA 1849-03-21 aboard Pakenham from Liverpool via Plymouth [Source:6,20]

So that's not the William and Jane who arrived with child (Wm.?) in 1848.

I've been trying to find a baptism in England for one about 1847 1848 with parents William & Jane. Lots if you go back to 1845.
