Whilst researching I came across the 1881 census for hawkers born in norfolk and found three possible relatives (still to be proved) from my fathers side they are hawking in the right area and a relative on my mothers side(to be proved)they were licensed hawkers, does this mean they may have romany roots, what sort of things would have been hawked and what is the difference between a pedlar and a hawker? questions , questions !! i would be very grateful for any help.
