The Hall family - parents George & Annie & 7 children immigrated from Scotland to Australia aboard the "Loch Sheil". Departed from Glasgow 10.August.1883 and arrived in Melbourne 12 November - family continued on to Brisbane.

Mother Florence b 1882 Brisbane – died 1958 Sydney – William Turnbull Warburton (1852-1937) & Isabella “Belle” Harrison (1855-1935)

Mr. George Hall, a well known figure in Presbyterian circles in Brisbane, passed away at Linton, North Sydney, on Friday, 11th instant, at the age of 83 years. ... The late Mr. Hall was born in Gallashiels, Scotland, in 1828, and was the eldest son of Mr. Robert Hall, head of the firm of Robert Hall and Sons, Builders and Architects. He married in 1866 Jeanie Pratt, daughter of Bernard Watson of Fortrose. ... to Brisbane, where he arrived in the sailing ship Lochshiel in November 1883, with his wife and family.
