Bev from Napier, New Zealand. Researching Hallam family from Marston, Lincoln, - My great grandfather(James Hallam) came out to Christchurch, in 1874 aboard the "SS Dunedin" and in 1878 married Mary Starr from County Tyrone. My Grandfather was their son Arthur b. 20 Jan 1884. Still trying to find more info - census, births etc. I do have a full Hallam tree, but want to go back before James.
Great fun though.:D

Re: Hallam

Hi Pejay,
I thought I would answer this way. Thanks for email. I didn't realise that the info I had on the Hallams were the christening dates and not the birth dates. As my late cousin did our original tree, and had the birth date for James Hallam as 7 Oct 1841, Marston, Lincolnshire, I presumed by IGI Index, that James and Charlotte could have been his parents, and not Robert and Mary.
Will have to do some more homework I think. I will have a look at the Lincolnshire site, and see if I can find out anything.
Thanks again. I am not sure on getting birth certificates, don,t know which one is the correct one.
Will let you know.
Cheers from NZ
Bev:D
