Hi Gwen,

Ah the Champs, A very interesting branch of my tree. Up in London in the early days, I have found so many of them on the poor law registers, which are now on the A word website, which is a mine of information for London Illegitimate births and Workhouse(hospital) deaths. Pays to be naughty>:D

Hi Julie,

Parker is an awful name to research, and in London makes it doubly awful.
Luckily my Parkers were very creative with their names. One of them was Louisa Selina Sarah Jane. if they had just called their kids Eliza or William I would never have been able to find certificates. Good luck with your Ann.

Julie

know the feeling. birth and marriage certs are like lottery tickets. I have enough to paper my shed, from such awful surnames like Bell,King, and Perry.
They were managable when they still lived in villages, but when they moved up to the smoke:D  .....always say could be worse, could be Jones and Smith:biggrin:

gotta look on the bright side.
