Hello,
My name is Kay, and I think it is great to find out about families. 2 years ago, I knew nothing, it was if I came from Mars, then my cousin did the paternal side of the family, and what I found out blew my mind. It explains, my hair colouring etc. I come from the Vikings, and to me that is just WOW.
My maternal side, well that took me 12 months of looking somewhere else, until I decided to bite the bullet and send away for the marriage certificate. Again, Wow. I have all this family, and I would say there are a lot out there, that are not all that friendly, but the few who are, are just very helpful, and don't mind helping.

Living in Australia, we are a bit handicapped towards finding out the proper info, and sometimes it has cost a lot of money to find something, then it turns out to be wrong. The fun of Genealogy I suppose. There are times when I want to pull my hair out, or put my foot thru the screen, but then something comes up and all is right with the world.

Hello Kay,

welcome to FHUK.

Please have a look around the forums to see where to post your queries and someone will try to answer them, or point you in the right direction.

I am curious though why you reported the Sharing information topic.

Regards,

Dave

Hello Kay welcome

Don't Worry about living in Australia and being handicapped when it comes to tracing your roots, i live here and it hasn't been an issue with me, well not now that i joined FHUK.
