Hi Iain,

Welcome to the forum Iain and thanks for posting.

Got them back too the Nottingham area
Great, thats where I live. What years have you got back to?

Hopefully you have posted your names on our "Wanted Name" system.

Sorry to here that the Edinburgh's Hogmanay new year celebrations could not take place this year, due to the weather conditions.

I would like to wish all members a very happy new year, from a cold and wet Edinburgh.
And the same to you Iain - have a great 2007.

See you soon,
Regards,
Dave

Hi Dave,
Still managed to celebrate a little so, a wee bit rough around the edges today.Trying to trace my g.g.grandfather John Sanders born c1828 at Bloom Court Yard, Nottingham ( no one seems to know where that was ).Got him back to 1851 census in Sedgley, Staffs.
Going to have to tread carefully as Sanders seems tobe a common surname around that area.

Cheers Iain
