Hello from Edinburgh

Hello there folks, Been researching for about 2 years now and have got back to 10th great grandfather. It helps having Register House in Edinburgh and have spent many a day up there. Still have a few to trace or expand the details on them. Would love to track down my grandfathers military papers if they survived, he was Pvt Augustus Fraser and served in the ASC and ended up near Cologne during WW1 (His medals has M- 379445) and his medal card has RASC/101b 267)

Any help or pointers for him would be appreciated.
