Hi Sammie,

Welcome to the forum,

Going forward to trace people is much harder but there are ways, eg electoral registers, telephone directories. Here is a link below to the British Library title 'Tracing Living People'. They give a list of ways to how to find living people.

If you want to start going back to find your ancestors ask elder relatives surprising what a mindful of information they have. Marriage certificates, birth certificates, also death certificates can help though not always as helpful as the other two.

Please dont hesitate to put your postings on the forum.
