my name is Paul and I am new to the world of family research and would appreciate any words of wisdom anyone can offer
many thanks Paul
Hello Paul - join a Family History Society that covers the area that your family came from. Many societies have Facebook groups. Be wary of online family trees some contain errors, guesses and wishful thinking by the tree owner. Check the facts before adding a person to your tree. Be wary of hints on websites such as Ancestry they might refer to someone with a similar name to the person in your tree.
