Just a quick hello to all to introduce myself:

My name is Suzanne, known as Sue, I live in Kent, am married and have 2 children aged 19yrs and 13yrs (yuk - what an awful age they are!!!) and to add to that I am a Secondary School Teacher ( yes, I am blonde and mad!!!!)

I have been researching my family history for about 6 months now (mid life crisis caused the onset!!), no seriously, I was seriously ill last year, and having lost my mum a few years ago, it all dawned on me that if I didn't try and put all this together then nobody else would - so here I am!!!

Anyway, look forward to chatting later.

Take care everyone

Hello Pauline, just read your reply to Suzanne. Exactly the same thing happened to me, a series of heart attacks followed by five seperate operations, but like you, I have found a new interest in this family history project, and have really enjoyed visiting and participating in this site.
Good luck and best wishes,
Pat xxx

Hi Mark

Thank you for the welcome to FHUK

Nice to know Im not the only nutter in the universe!! well at least this galaxy anyway.:D (think part of the nutter syndrome comes from being a teacher - especially with 11-16yr olds!!!!!! it helps to get you through the day!!!)

Don't think I have logged off since I joined, lovely community and everyone makes you feel so welcome straight away - not like the other sites!!!!

Trouble is you get so hooked, time just runs away with you, and before you know it the sun is coming up again - really to get a life!!! nahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh - think I will just stick to this - it is actually quite theraputic at times.

Anyway, thanks for the welcome once again, speak soon, sure I will be calling on your help at some point soon.

Happy researching............................................:2fun: :D

I"m fairly new to this Ancestry Lark as well. I"m also new to using a Computer, but this Site is absolutely Brill!!!!! and the members are so friendly & helpful.Only drawback is when you gt going it becomes really Addictive. I"s so wonderfully fascinating,I"ve grown really fond of some of my dearly departed
