My FH, still isnt getting anywhere,,Im looking for any relitive of my Grandmother, Elizabeth Holmes, Born in Alvaston in Derbyshire, in 1901.Her parents went to live in America, leaveing her behind. My mum was born in 1918 in Nottingham,but was addopted and lived in Basford Nottingham(not sure what year though) My Grandma went on to have other children, Violet and Doreen, They were born in Nottingham and lived in the Meadows area of nottingham.Grandma married in 1931 (i think) To a, Reginald Brown, im not sure if there were more children, not that i know of. Grandma died around 1960s or 70s.
Other names im looking for are, Newcombe, in Grantham, Thomas Newcombe1883, Florence mary Firth was his 1st wife, 2nd, Ester Hale1880.
I would like to hear from anyone, if these names sound familier to anyone.
Or just like to hear from anyone who wants a chat
