Hello everyone!! Finally got here, due to my lack of computer skill, I hasten to add! What a great site, I am sure I'm going to love it on here.

I'm in North Wales, married for 25 years, and retired a year ago and now have more time to devote to family research. I am quite new to this. I have found a lot of helpful info on the Ancestry site for research into my adoptive family but my real interest is now in my natural family who I only met up with in the late l970s, so I am making a start with that now.

I doubt whether I will be able to contribute much on here, by the way of help, as I think you are probably a lot more experienced than me, but you never know, I may be able to add something useful.

You will be able to contribute to this site, in fact you already have by joining our family :) .
all our members are friendly and helpful, and all you have to do is post your questions along with any information you do have on the appropriate forum/s and we will try and help you find those illusive ancestors. Enjoy the forums and we wish you every success in your research.

hello Janey,
dont sell yourself short. I bet you will be surprised by what you can contribute here just from your own lifes experiances. Its amazing what a diversity of requests and questions are asked here, and one day you will be reading something and say to yourself " hey I know that", not from a book or a web site, just from being you. So welcome, enjoy the site and good luck with your research.
The people on here are really friendly and helpful, so dont hesitate to ask for help.
