Hello Joe and welcome. Its only a slim chance I know, but I notice you are researching the Walsh name in your history. If its any help, I'm doing the same and have info on the Walsh family from County Mayo in Ireland. They moved to England in late 1880's. If by any chance this is of use or interest, give me a shout,
best wishes
Pat

Hi Pat thanks for the welcome.

My mother did tell me that i had some Irish relatives.

One who was a brigadier general John Knox.
Not sure when he served or regiment but i understand it could possibly be before WW2.
i beleive from seeing him in an old copy of who's who my mother told me he was Irish and that he was a relative of ours.

Possibly Pat you have come across the name but its a long shot.
