Hi Everyone,

My name is Liz and I only found this site today. It was recommended by a course I am doing with Dundee University. Having visited the site I loved it so I intend to become a regular visitor and, hopefully, active member!

Hi Sterico,

Thanks for the reply.

I am still finding my way around the site and I think it may take me some time. I have somewhat basic skills and until I got into genealogy the most I did on the computer was playing Solitaire!! (well, maybe a bit more than that). The course is only a short one which I took first to see if I wanted to commit to a more beefy one.

Anyway, hope to become a regular when I get to know the site.

Liz

Hi Dave

Thanks for the reply.

I am only doing a short course through the University of Dundee. I wanted to see how I got on and then decide if i wanted to do something a bit beefier. It is call Family and Local History: Beyond the Internet. It is desisned to take family and local history beyond checking lists of BMD's and census returns. It only went live about a week ogo, so it's early day's yet. I do work full time as a nurse so time is limited. I love the fact that genealogy is so far removed from the day job!
