Help finding father of Theophilus alfred caddick.

I have been searching for the parents of distant great grandfather. His name is theophilus alfred caddick from staffordshire born 1849/1850. He married Phoebe Moore in 1873 in tipton staffordshire. His father was listed as joseph caddick but i cannot find any details relating to him.

He can be found on 1861/51 census and birth record Theophilus Amphlet Caddick, june qtr 1849 Dudley 18-302. He is living with a Joseph Dixon Caddick 1807 and his wife Lydia 1801 both Dudley also with their son John 1843 and is described as grandson.

below could be Josephs 'father', If the children named above are correct and complete, Mary Ann could be the mother and her husband to be Joseph Bunn could have fathered the child out of wedlock so the child took his mothers name or to minimise 'gossip' the child was brought up by grandparents so Alfred said his father was his grandfather ie Joseph Carrick

Thankyou all for your information. I had looked a t joseph dixon caddick and lydia but kept getting confused regarding theophilus being down as a grandson. hopefully joseph bunn was his father. I encountered this problem on my mothers side of the family as my great grandfather took his mothers surname. it was made easier because he took his fathers surname as a middle name.
