Hi guys. I am a newbie on this site although not to genealogy. All the info I have is here, so please let me know if you can add to my records:
Looking for information on parents of James William Johnson born Holborn, London 16/5/1921. Married Violet Edith Leach 1943 died Feb 1997 Great Yarmouth. Did James have any siblings? Would expect all details to be London based.
On husbands side it gets more complicated.
Clyde Gonsalves born 1938 Jamaica. Married Patricia Herma Belnavis from Jamaica 1958 in UK. Clyde's father was Raymond ALfonso Gonsalves born 1904 in Antigua. Raymond Died 1971 in US. Raymond married Annie Lee Pettigrew.
Once again any information on the above would be great.
Especially for Patricia Herma (could be a Veronica in there somewhere) Belnavis. Her father was called Oscar Belnavis and was an officer in the Jamaican/Uk army and lived in Surrey, UK. They all came over on the ship from Jamaica, but cannot find any records. She cannot remember her date of birth and has no memory of any family members. SHe insists that her birth was not registered, so would be really interested to see if any records exist. Possibly St Anne or St Mary parish Jamaica.
If anyone knows these areas could you please tell me if there is a family plot for Belnavis or Gonsalves as we have been led to believe but no proof.
