help or advice wanted - Barnet Burns

I have a Barnet Burns. He says in the 1841 census that he is 40 years old and born in Scotland. He is down as a lodger. In the 1851 census he says he is 44 (should be 50). He states he is a "British subject". He doesn't make it to 1861 as he has died in East Stonehouse Devon.

My query is did he have any siblings. His father is said to be a George Burns and his mother is said to be Ann Burns nee Stewart.Because he says he is a british subject his birth can be registered in either Scotland or England I'm thinking. Can anyone help re his birth and any siblings he may have had. As always any help will be very much appreciated. Thank you

I think there could be some confusion, I haven't found a baptism for a Barnet Burns. I was looking at some trees on Ancestry which have as you say George's parents as George and Ann.

There is a baptism for George Burns which these people have on their trees:

Never used FMP for a poor relief record so had a go and nothing came up. That is not to say there isn't one ,as someone else could have claimed for burial.

Hello,
Wow!! what a tangle. Thank you again for digging out what you have. I am wondering if the people above might not have been my George Barnet Burns grandparents. The George you found baptized in 1805 could be my one, in fact I think he was. In the 1841 census I have a Barnet Burns lodging with the Kay family Vincent street Sculcoates, Yorksire, England. He states he was born in Scotland in 1801 and he is aged 40. His occ. is mariner. Also in this house is a Rosina Crowther who in the 1851 census is now Rosina Burns (cant find a marriage ). She is 45 years old and a pedlar also born in Scotland.
In 1851 census Barnet is living in Linton Cambridgeshire, high street. It states he is married, so he has married Rosina between 1841 and 1851. He says he is a lecturer, born 1807 and a british subject. In this census Rosina says she was born in London and is aged 50. At this time there is a Charlotte Crowther aged 22 also there making me think she may have been Rosina's daughter. I am going with the idea that Rosina was married before marrying Barnet. Charlotte was born in Bristol. I believe there were two children. In 1861 Rosina is a widow living in Devonshire and is a professer of music lastly I have a death reg. for a George Barton Burns living in Stonehouse Devon in 1860. This is the only time he has used the full name of George Barnet Burns.

I have written this long explanation to cover the other answers I received. Thank you lots for all replies, much appreciated.

There was a George Burns born to George and Anne in 1802, haven't found a death for him, but I also noticed this on the Lancashire deaths:
