The reason I want to know what is in the record is that Benjamin Roebuck bought Meersbrook Estate in 1759 and we would really like to know who from and what buildings were already there. The only clue we have found is this. And Walthamstow is a long way from Sheffield. It may not even be that particular deed we are looking for.
Meersbrook House is now under community control and has a fascinating history but before Roebuck bought it it gets a bit hazy.
