Frederick may have married a second time, the only records I can find from 1920 are with a Catherine/Katherine, unless of course she is the 'Nannie' in post #1 and assuming it's the correct Frederick.

No luck with Minnetta yet...

I'm sure I've come across this family before, I think Minnetta turns up in the US somewhere...

Snailham, Rebecca's maiden name rings a bell also, was there an uncle in Canada?

Hi thankyou for the replies :)
Uncle... I thought that too as I did find a passenger list with helena and I think Nannie traveling from us into canada with relative listed as uncle... Although I didn't find any record of said uncle going too or being in us or canada. I'm trying to find this passenger list again to provide details but I didn't seem to save it...

Minnetta I draw a blank on .... I'm now debating whether she just used middle name Elizabeth as this is what she was listed as on first move to canada with family.

Frederick and Catherine - I too came across those records and I'm not sure that it's the same Frederick... I'm looking for their marriage record to see what the date was, whether he was a widower maybe? Or for him to remarry while Nannie was alive should I be able to find a divorce record possibly?
Wish I could find a 1910/ 1911 census for Fred and Nannie ... But still looking.... No look for any birth records with them both listed as parents either...I have used the lancs parish register site for nannies family in England, is there a site similar to this that lists baptism/christenings in canada and the us do you know?

Taylor.

Hi 'horse' , yes that is the passenger list I came across and am about as sure as I can be that that's my family.
Nancy I believe to be Nannie yes and Elizabeth spelt just Eliz on the original to be Minnetta Elizabeth.

John isn't with them, but his name being so common any passengers lists I come across for similar years I can't be sure of and there was also a 1911 census in the uk that was pretty convincing...

Dinah the other sister died not long after arriving in canada... So they were there for a time atleast but looking at the New York census of Rebecca and helena I think that covers the census... I can't find any census's for any after that date! Frustrating to say the least... Leaving only bmd ... I'm currently relying on findmypast worldwide but they have something going on with the site at the mo that I'm sure isn't bringing up all records available. ..
I'm debating upgrading ancestry uk to worldwide if nothing improves and see if that brings any more clues... Or a census ... For somebody ! Fingers crossed!
