Help wanted

Hi...I am new to this site and very new to working on my family tree. I am looking for info on my 4th great Grandfather who I believe came from channel/jersey islands. I was also told he came from Cornwall🤷🏼‍♀️
Strickland and pope are the names I am looking for. My 3rd great grandfather was Robert Strickland born 1858 in Rose Blanche, Newfoundland. He was married to Clara Pope 1869 from Brunette Island.
Any info or direction would be greatly appreciated.
The only other tidbit that I have is that his father would have been Robert strickland as well and that he traveled to Newfoundland with 2 brothers.
Please forgive me as I am lost!

A possible for Robert’s baptism.

Haven’t been able to pick these up on the census, that’s looking up on familysearch and the National Library and Archives of Canada. Is Robert the one who died in 1929 Newfoundland, as there is another Robert showing up at a later date.

Just seen the death for a Robert Strickland - 1932 Rose Blanche - Age 76 (est. birth year 1856). I can’t make out his place of birth as recorded on his death.

What I have on Robert is born 1858 in Rose Blanche
Died 1926 in Port Aux Basques. And his father's name was Robert. That's all I have.
