I'm trying to track my great grandfather on the 1901 census but, having no success.
His name is John Sanders born 1879 in Bloxwich, Staffs. In the 1901 census his family were living at Snyed Lane, Bloxwich but, he is not mentioned, there are many returns with that name but, none match his.
I have found out that he served in the Boer War and, at around this time he may have been overseas, are there any records of soldiers that were in South Africa in the census returns, or could this be another brick wall.
