I am looking for help in finding the parents of george mason born c1796 in elvington,yorkshire.George married thomasin north on 28/11/1825 in wiggington,yorkshire,i have been unable to find any listing of his parents so any help would b e greatly appreciated .I found another 2 generations for thomasin north's family but unable to find george's family. help!!

Christening: 23 NOV 1796 Elvington, Yorkshire,

Mother: MARY MAYSON

Could be a coincidence but there is a Mary Mayson in Elvington being christened.

Mary Mayson born 12 MAR 1778
Christening: 12 APR 1778 Elvington, Yorkshire,
Parents:
Father: FREDERICK MAYSON
Mother: ANN HOLBORN

I am not sure what sites we can post about on here, but if you go to the Elvington page on Genuki it leads you to an Elvington Parish History Site, a lot of the parish records have transcriptions on the site, including the ones from the IGI.

Supposition now but there is this 1841 census for Elvington

Ann Mason 86 Pauper
Ann Mason 25
Eliza Mason 2

could this be George's Grandmother aged 86.


Also this burial could be his grandfather.

Frederic Mason, burial: 16 Nov 1819 aged 63, (born about 1756), buried at Elvington, Holy Trinity
