Henry Aitkin/Aitken.

Can anyone advise how i could find details of my G G G Grandfathers birth,
he was Henry Aitken born abt 1809 Maryport Cumberland,I have his marriage date 1831 Crosscannonby and his children, but although ive manage to get some background on his wife, i cant get any background (parents ect) on Henry, any help would be appreciated, thank you, regards Rosa.

Don't know if the Henry who married Rebecca is your man, but if there is a Scottish link, then the location of the Christenings may be significant. Jane could have been Henry's sister, with Robert being a family Christian name (Robert 1832 being named after his grandfather).

Thank you so much Minden for that info, im certain its the same family, Henry did have a son Robert b 1832 same place and date as the info you gave , now ive got more names maybe I will find something on Henry now ,
