Hi
Henry Bailey Blackburn was born Gateshead 14/4/1883
he died France 1966 aged 83(sometimes his middle name was not given )
am looking for the marriage of Henry to a french lady called Berthe ??
I know that they lived in Paris-and that Berthe was still alive when her husband passed away

Hi have you got the info on his Dad?
Listed in Directory 1883 as a grocer in Gateshead. My mistake, his father is listed as Wilson in 1891 census.
Perhaps he married in France??
Was he single in 1911 although his birthplace is Bradford, he did live there for a long time?
Cheers

Hi
Thank you for your help
Henry`s father was Wilson Love Blackburn,Henry and Berthe had no children, years ago there was some talk that he was in France before the war came back to the UK and signed up for the WW1 ,then returned back to France to live with Berthe
Henry died 1966 ,he and Berthe were living in 1945(according to a letter)at
28 Boulevard Jules Ferry ,Goussainville,Seine Et Oise-France
the problem that I am having is finding any other address that they might have lived at in France/Paris
any marriage and obviously Berthe`s surname-this in turn would allow me to be able to find, her parentage/death which occurred after Henry` demise due to her sending a letter back to UK but on the letter Berthe had not put a reply address

According to Google Goussainville is a ghost town, people left because of the flight path to Chas De Gaulle airport and the tragedy of the Concorde prototype crashing and killing 14 people.
I would imagine there will be no records left if you decided to go there to research.
I'm hoping someone else can put you onto a French family history site Romany.
Not much help sorry.
