Ages as per 1842 shipping record - don't know why James and Jane are zero.

Assisted to Victoria - FEB 1842 MANLIUS 2/3 75
HENRY JAMES 0
HENRY JANE 0
HENRY THOMAS 12
HENRY SARAH 10
HENRY ELIZA 5
HENRY JAMES 5
HENRY MARY 4

So far I can't find the marriage or any baptisms for the children.
4x Mary birth reg in 1838 in different counties.

I'd like a look up please for them in 1841.

Thanks,

Dave

There were a few vessels to Australia that went down in history as being very bad.

First birth/baptism reg in NSW
V1846999 31A/1846 HENRY HENRIETTA H - JAMES - JANE

Supposed to be a daughter Annie born in 1843 in Sydney but I can't find a reg or baptism.

The other side of this family, the YOUNGs were from London. We get one more clergyman:

The Sydney Morning Herald - Saturday 20 May 1865 p.9
MARRIAGES
YOUNG - HENRY.-May 3rd, by special license, at St Ann's, Ryde, by the Rev. G. E. Turner, George Edward, third son of Mr. James Young, of 12 Richmond-terrace, South Lambeth, London, S., to Annie, eldest daughter of Mr. James Henry, Ryde, Parramatta River, and granddaughter of the late Rev. W. Henry, of the London Missionary Society.

It says eldest so Sarah, Eliza and Mary had all died ???

Or that is not the right family in shipping record.

The tree also suggests Eliza mar. a William Howell in Melbourne 1848, all I can find is this

She'd only be abt. 11Y so that's out :D

Eliza Henry
Spouse: William Hoke
Marriage Place: Victoria
Registration Place: Victoria
Registration Year: 1848

If we assume Annie was born abt 1843 and that she was the eldest daughter and that Henrietta was a sister we have parents as James and Jane.

If these are the right ones:

Deaths
14632/1891 HENRY JAMES S - WILLIAM - ANN - URALLA
7346/1898 HENRY JANE - JAMES - ANNIE - URALLA

HENRY James Shepherd Death notice 20FEB1891 Death 71 at Rockyville, Uralla SMH 23FEB1891

HENRY Jane Death notice 17MAY---- Death 79 at Rocky Ville, Uralla SMH 18MAY1898

We have rough birth dates for James & Jane and a middle name for James.

We would have to have Sarah, Eliza and Mary all possibly dying on board or soon after for it to fit.

James born 1821 would be too young with Thomas born 1830.

Can't be the right family in shipping record.

The Sydney Morning Herald - Wednesday 18 May 1898 p.1
Deaths.
HENRY.-May 17, at Rocky Ville, Uralla, Jane, widow of
the late James Shepherd Henry and mother of Mrs.
George E. Young, Balmain, aged 79.

That is correct. Mrs. George E. Young = Annie

Ignore the shipping record and family.

Oh. As usual the tree is of no use for James:

Birth 1820 Sydney, NSW, AUSTRALIA

Death 1891 Papetoai, Moorea, FRENCH POLYNESIA :D

V1821193 125/1821 HENRY JAMES J - WILLIAM - JANE

That is one I can't look up to check the middle name.

The marriage in NSW I can look up:

No sign of a reg for Annie 1841-1846.
