Hi, I am looking for any information on my g uncle Henry [Harry] Green b 1887 Birmingham England died 1955 Chicago. Last known address La Salle Street Chicago. Believed to be a lay preacher in the Moodys Church in La Salle Street. He left England after the 1914 –18 war.
1911 census for Harry Green, Son, 23, Occupation Motor Cycle Worker, Turner, Worker, Born Ladywood, Birmingham. He preferred to be called Harry. He never married and has no children.
Any information would be fantastic for his 86 year old nephew.
:)

Hi Jean,
I have looked at the Chicago census for 1920 & found a few Henry's & Harry's. None of them I'm afraid match your dates & 2 were married with children. The 1930 census has not been completely transcribed yet so I'm not able to look at it. I'll keep looking.
I looked yesterday for your Sampson but was unable to find him.

Hi bOOkie, Thank you. I'm not sure exact date he emigrated to the USA or if he lived anywhere before chicargo. But my uncle knew the La Sallle St address off by heart.:) Thanks again for your help. Jean

Thanks Dave. I have him up to 1911 in England, but he emigrated not long after 1918 to the USA and it's his time there prior to his death in 1955 that i would love to have some information about.
