Now have ADSL2+ instead of Naked DSL so connection is 12/1 instead of 6/1.

But the old phone number can't be ported so will have to tell 100 people I have a new phone number after 50 years.

I've started new queries not knowing where I was when last here.

The speed isn't too bad, if consistent shouldn't be any issues.. Shame about the phone no., but I would be more pleased about getting the internet connection sorted..

The connection was up on Tuesday and the phone working but I could not access the modem to enter the details.

The technician came today and reset the modem completely not by pressing the reset button but by shorting two of the ports.
He entered the necessary details and I then had internet access.

Broadband due from 17 Jan. I'd better email and get in the queue for connection.
