I got this from friends on the GWF.
Taken from JOHN STARLING & IVOR LEE'S book " NO LABOUR,NO BATTLE"

It tells us his low Labour Corps service Number #5676 was from the block of numbers (5401-6000) allocated to the 10th Company Labour Corps, this company was formed from the 2nd Infantry Labour company, Royal Scots Fusiliers in May 1917.
