Henry Stewart, born c1815 married Catherine MacKay in St Cuthbert's, Edinburgh in 1846. In the 1851 census they are living at Lady Lawson's Wynd, where Henry is a flesher to trade. He previoulsy lived in Queensferry Street. He is recorded as having been born in England.

At some point (1851-1861) Henry becomes a soldier in the 1st Regiment foot. He disappears from the records around this time. Have not been able to find him on the death lists for the Crimean War.

Love to be able to find out more about his forebears and where he came from.

Thanks,

James.
