Well here is a couple of pics of my nan on my mums side Hetty(Henrietta Hardiman nee Halke.
The older picture she is around 40ish and the picture of her in the garden was in the last year of her life..1986.
She had a hard life and her daughter,my mums sister Auntie Bettie sent me these a month ago
She lived with my grandad who was on the Southern Railway in Salisbury for many years...her maiden name of Halke was i thought German/Dutch but in fact is very old English with the name most prominent in the Kent area.
I didn't get to know my nanny Hardiman nee Halke...but at least a part of me is her
