hi i am originally from Urmston, Manchester but now living in Ireland. I am new to computers, so i am a bit lost !
I have started to research My Family tree and have met a blank wall time and time again:'( So I am asking if anyone can help me, I am researching my mothers side of the family first, the family name is Warburton, my mother was nellie winifred, and my grandmothers were Emily and alice (my grandad was married twice) I think my grandad was called wilfred and they lived in Swinton Manchester in the 60s and 70s+. if anyone can help it would be appreciated I cannot ask my parents as unfortunately they are both deceased

Hi Sterico Welcome to the forum,

First of all obtain their marriage certificate this will give you the fathers name and occupation and also their ages and addresses. Then go for the birth certficate this will give you fathers name and mothers foreman and maiden name along with the family address. If you can give a rough year as to when they married or when the 1st child was born it will make easier to look through the bmd's. Dont forget which area. If you have accress to the bmds fine, if not post the relevant info and will have a look.
