Hi from Australia

Hi , I am first generation born in Australia , the rest of my relatives on my mother's side are from England.
I have just started researching our family history.
My mother immigrated to Australia with her parents in 1951. My Grandfather returned to England around 1956 when the marriage broke up and we never heard from him again.
Unfortunately my mother was told all her life that her father was French, I have since researched his family name ( Marsom and mother Cook) and found out he is very much English, not knowing his family history for so many years has made my search so much more interesting and exciting when we find new information.
My grandmother remarried ( Wood). Her parents were (Henkun and mother Embury). So these are the names I am slowly researching.
